ΠΕΡΙΕΧΟΜΕΝΟ
A. Αντικείμενο
Το μάθημα περιλαμβάνει διαλέξεις από τον διδάσκοντα, ειδικούς εξωτερικούς συνεργάτες και τους ίδιους τους φοιτητές, σε θέματα προστασίας, διαχείρισης και ανάδειξης της φυσικής και πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς που αφορούν τις προστατευόμενες περιοχές όλων των κατηγοριών, τους αρχαιολογικούς χώρους, τους παραδοσιακούς οικισμούς, τα ιστορικά κέντρα πόλεων, τα πολιτιστικά τοπία, τα τοπία ιδιαίτερου φυσικού κάλλους κλπ. Στις διαλέξεις γίνεται και παρουσίαση υποδειγματικών περιπτώσεων υλοποίησης προγραμμάτων και έργων προστασίας και αποκατάστασης της φυσικής και πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό.
Κεντρικό ρόλο στην διεξαγωγή του μαθήματος έχει η ατομική εργασία με αντικείμενο ζητήματα σχετικά με το πολιτιστικό περιβάλλον περιοχών με σκοπό την προστασία και ανάδειξη τους. Το θέμα της εργασίας θα εντοπίζεται χωρικά σε περιοχή που εντάσσεται στα ιδιαίτερα ενδιαφέροντα του μαθήματος και βρίσκεται είτε στο Πήλιο είτε στις Σποράδες.

ΣΤΟΧΟΙ
Σκοπός του μαθήματος είναι η κατανόηση της έννοιας της Κληρονομιάς, είτε αυτή αναφέρεται στο ανθρωπογενές είτε στο φυσικό περιβάλλον και το τοπίο. Μέσα από την διερεύνηση του χαρακτήρα της ανάγκης διατήρησης της κληρονομιάς αυτής, το μάθημα αποσκοπεί στην απόκτηση γνώσεων, δεξιοτήτων και ικανοτήτων αναφορικά με την προστασία και ανάδειξή της.
Η προσέγγιση γίνεται τόσο σε σχέση με τους κατοίκους μιας περιοχής και την κοινωνία μέσα στην οποία εκκολάφθηκε, όσο και σε σχέση με το ενδιαφέρον αλλά και την δυνατότητα επισκεψιμότητας του τόπου από πολιτιστικά ή/και γεωγραφικά διαφορετικές πληθυσμιακές κοινότητες.
Στους στόχους του μαθήματος περιλαμβάνεται η απόκτηση τόσο αναλυτικής όσο και συνθετικής σκέψης πάνω στο συγκεκριμένο ζήτημα, μέσα από την αναζήτηση, ανάλυση και σύνθεση δεδομένων και πληροφοριών, με τη χρήση των απαραίτητων τεχνολογιών. Ιδιαίτερη σημασία έχει η απόκτηση ικανοτήτων συλλογής και ερμηνείας στοιχείων, διαμόρφωσης κρίσεων και προτάσεων σε θέματα προστασίας και ανάδειξης της πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς και του τοπίου συγκεκριμένων περιοχών στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό.
