Στη δεύτερη ενότητα εξετάζεται η έννοια του ερειπίου και επιχειρούνται δύο προσεγγίσεις ένταξής της σε διανοητικά σχήματα. Θίγεται το οντολογικό ζήτημα καθορισμού της ταυτότητας του κτιριακού υλικού και προσεγγίζεται η αρχαιολογία ως επιστήμη επανοηματοδοτήσεων.

The second unit examines the notion of the “ruin” introducing it into two (2) certain and different mental constructions. It contains references upon ontological issues associated to the difficult-to-define building identity while at the same time archeology is being approached as a re-evaluating science.
