The first unit investigates the possibility of organising an Athenian history of the “void” as a major concept of building Modern cities. References such as “The Athens Charter” (Le Corbusier, 1943) and Philippe Lacoue-Labarthe’s texts are examined in this lecture in order to examine the void concept and its conceptual projections.
